Tiger, a BNPL provider in the Middle East has partnered with Visa, a leader in digital payments and M2P FinTech, Asia’s largest API infrastructure company to make in-store payments easier than ever with the Tabby Visa card.

Shoppers will be able to activate their virtual Tabby card on its app for free, add it to their Apple Pay, Samsung Pay or Google Pay digital wallets, and tap the payment terminal at checkout to split their payments.

With over 1.5 million active shoppers in Saudi Arabia and the UAE, its app allows shoppers to split their purchases into four interest-free payments from thousands of brands, including IKEA, Nike, Adidas, Level Shoes, Aldo, Dyson and hundreds more in store.

Tabby was the first buy now, pay later vendor in the Middle East to introduce its QR-based in-store solution for omnichannel shopping experiences. Tabby Card is the next generation of its in-store solution creating a more familiar shopping journey for customers – tap and pay. The solution also enables retailers to offer flexible payments with existing payment infrastructure and processes without integration.

Daniil Barkalov, COO and co-founder of Tabbysaid: “Despite the growing popularity of e-commerce, nearly 90% of retail purchases in the Middle East are still done offline. At Tabby, we are committed to creating rewarding shopping experiences wherever customers shop. The Tabby Card will take our in-store solution to new heights, creating a truly seamless omnichannel experience for customers to pay over time, interest-free.

Shahebaz Khan, Managing Director of Visa for the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain and Oman, said: “The Tabby Visa card allows cardholders to evenly spread the cost of goods across participating merchants, reducing the burden on their budget. For merchants, this will mean increased sales and better conversion rates, reinforcing the principle that greater digitization of commerce provides opportunities for business growth. We are delighted to partner with Tabby to bring this innovative installment payment solution that will help extend the benefits of digital commerce to more consumers and businesses in the UAE.

The card is currently accessible by invitation only in the United Arab Emirates, but buyers can join the waitlist to gain early access. The company plans to launch the card in other markets soon.
