But a woman wanted to cut costs on her big day and took the risk of buying her wedding dress from an online retailer, shein.
Anne Reckleyfrom Toronto, Canada, took to TikTok to show off her inexpensive wedding dress.
She said: “No one believes me when I say I paid $39 [£24] for my wedding dress, from Shein.
“For a very long time people asked where I got the dress and never told them Shein.
“But the secrets come out of the bag.
“Last year in July the dress was $47 and with their discount code I only paid $39.
“We spent less than $500 [£311] for our wedding.

The plain white strappy dress is floor length and has stunning ruched detailing at the back.

The dress looks expensive and although it is simple, it is very chic.
The bride also revealed that she got her shoes from the Aldo chain of stores in another attempt to cut costs.
Ann’s video clearly impressed many as it racked up 4.5 million views.

Many TikTok users were shocked and impressed by the price of Ann’s gorgeous dress, and many responded to comments to express it.
